Year 10 students will be attending two week work experience placements from 9 July – 20 July 2012.  Full details have been sent home this week and students should be thinking about what type of placement they would like and which employers they wish to approach.

It is up to students to arrange their own placement but there will be plenty of assistance available from Mrs Edwards (Work Related Learning Co-ordinator), Form Tutors, Mrs Forman and Mrs Jervis.

A copy of the ‘Contacting Employers’ pamphlet and the Self Generated Placement form for completion by parents/carers and employers can be found by students in the Work Related Learning area under ‘Classroom’ on the School Gateway.

Look out for the photo displays of last year’s placements in the corridor by Room 1 for ideas.

Students may call in to see Mrs Edwards during any break or lunchtime (her office is between Rooms 3 & 4).

Competition for placements is fierce and students should be contacting employers NOW!
