Message from Mr Nixon

It is important that all students feel safe in school and this can involve anything from bullying to movement around the school.  With over 1700 people moving at every bell we ask everyone to be considerate and thoughtful.  Looking behind you when closing a door (in case someone is following), being careful with bags across the shoulder etc and our students do this very well.  It is also about feeling secure and able to report something when things are not so good like a bullying issue.  The Student Welfare office is staffed throughout the day (including breaks and lunchtimes) and is there for this very purpose; to support students who need help.  Members of staff on duty are also there to help if there is a problem.  Please be assured that should your child have any pastoral difficulties we have a dedicated team there to support them and they want to help.
