Message from Mr Nixon
My thanks to everyone who came along to the 6th Form Open Evenings. I think I can safely say that I have never seen the school so busy, particularly on Tuesday night. The feedback I have received so far has been extremely positive, particularly in relation to the warmth of the welcome received, the standard of work that our students were achieving and the clarity of the message during the presentations. During Tim Kelly’s student presentation, the 6th Form was referred to as being ‘flexible but not lenient’. I thought this phrase really captured the 6th Form at CNS and is probably one that I will use in the future.
Last week, I wrote about how improving by a few per cent can make a significant difference. At the 6th Form evenings, we handed out cards to ask questions and provide feedback on their thoughts about the evening. Continuing with this theme we will be giving out questionnaires at different events including parent consultation evenings. The aim here is to get as much feedback on areas where you feel we are doing well alongside those where we could improve. I look forward to reading your responses.
